
Haideh Hashemi Nouri (MA) is a faculty member in the School of Education and Childhood Studies at Capilano University, situated on the traditional territories of the LíỈwat, xʷməθkʷəỷəm (Musqueam), shíshálh (Sechelt), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and SəỈílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education, Haideh has worked in various roles, including preschool teacher, manager, and community pedagogist with the Early Childhood Pedagogy Network (ECPN), hosted by NSCR. Having lived, studied, and worked on the North Shore for more than 25 years, she is passionate about the well-being of children, families, and the broader community. She actively engages in initiatives that promote inclusive, culturally responsive, and socially-just early learning environments. Her work emphasizes the importance of building strong connections between educators, families, and communities to create meaningful educational experiences for young children. Through mentorship, advocacy, and collaboration, she strives to empower educators and community members, ensuring that education serves as a foundation for equity, and well-being.
