Every year, Vancouver’s North Shore Tourism puts on the Craft Beer Festival at the Shipyards and picks a North Shore non-profit to receive the proceeds from it. This year NSCR was chosen as the beneficiary non-profit! We received a very generous donation from Vancouver’s North Shore Tourism: $17,333!
Thanks to their support, we will be able to fund our programs and continue to support our North Shore community. That means families will have access to free day programs, free lending library, and assistance with the Affordable Child Care Benefit. Seniors will continue to receive support from light housekeeping, yard work, transportation to and from medical appointments, access to resources and referrals, and much more. With this donation, caregivers will also continue to receive the crucial support they need to take care of their loved ones while still maintaining their wellbeing. Our legal team will be able to carry on their work, serving individuals in areas such as family law, tenancy law, and more. North Shore residents with low income will be able to have access to our free community tax clinic and our Community Housing Action Committee (CHAC) will have the means to continue their fight for affordable housing on the North Shore.
Vancouver’s North Shore Tourism’s financial support translates into many programs and opportunities continuing to be available for North Shore residents.
Thank you to Vancouver’s North Shore Tourism and to everyone that attended their Craft Beer Festival 2025.
