This year, we here at NSCR would like to turn our attention to two of our team members that have been with us longer than anyone. Both Virginia and Fariba are celebrating major anniversaries, as they celebrate 20 and 30 years with NSCR, respectively.
Virginia started with us in 2004 as a coordinator, working in the Child and Parent program. Over the years her role has shifted and grown alongside her. Today she is the CCRR Parent Information and Resource Consultant, helping people find child care, clarity on different programs and benefits, along with connecting them to further resources.
Fariba, with us since 1994, began as the Intake Legal Assistant, aiding Anne Beveridge, the supervising lawyer. In addition, she began to work in the Child and Parent program in 2007. Now, after 30 years, Fariba has expanded her role into multiple programs. Fariba is now the CAPC Coordinator and Legal Information & Assistance Program Coordinator, working with the Community Action Program for Children and the legal team to support the help her clients need.
From all of us at NSCR and your clients, past and present, we want to say thank you to these two amazing women that have dedicated so much time to our organization.
“In the past I have had other jobs that I found enjoyable, but only at NSCR do I look forward to going to work every day, even on Mondays. That is partly because of the work that I do, and the clients, and in large part because of the positive, welcoming culture of the workplace, and all my wonderful colleagues!”
