Municipal Election: Community Conversation

literary september municipal election letter

Is this your first time voting in a municipal election?

Do you want to learn more about the role of the municipal governments in Canada?

Are you curious about what issues your fellow West Vancouver residents are passionate about?

Join us on Monday, September 26 from 6-7:30PM at West Vancouver Memorial Library for a municipal election primer presented by former West Vancouver Mayor Pamela Goldsmith-Jones followed by a community conversation about local issues ahead of the fall election.

Local government elections in British Columbia are held every four years. This includes elections for mayors, councillors, school trustees, regional district electoral area directors, trustees for the Islands Trust, local community commissioners, and park board commissioners.

West Vancouver residents will elect one mayor, six councillors, and five school trustees for four-year terms on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

For more information on the election please visit West Van Votes or our recommended resource page on the 2022 Municipal Election.
